About Pete George
For more than forty years, I've carried a camera.
Not because I wanted to collect photographs.
Because I wanted to understand people.
Travel has taught me that the most interesting stories rarely happen where everyone is looking. They happen in the quiet moments... before sunrise, at the local market, around a coffee table, or while simply watching life unfold.
Lens & Life isn't a photography show.
It's a show about observation.
Some episodes will take you to Bali.
Others might come from my office on the Gold Coast.
Sometimes we'll talk about travel.
Sometimes photography.
Sometimes the way social media has changed the way we experience the world.
And sometimes we'll simply slow down long enough to notice something we've all been walking past.
If one episode makes you look at the world a little differently...
then it's done its job.
Why listen?
Because everything today seems to demand an opinion.
I'd rather offer a perspective.
No outrage.
No clickbait.
No pretending I have all the answers.
Just honest observations...
as I see them.
About Pete
I'm Pete George.
I've spent four decades photographing newspapers, magazines, weddings, sport, commercial work and travel.
Today I spend more time telling stories than chasing photographs.
The camera is still there...
It's just no longer the point.
